Sensing Singing in Kindergarten

In January we had the opportunity to have Elsa visit us at the Kindergarten. I did not know her or her singing. It was an interesting experience to see how the students of the mixed group of first and second grade preschoolers, 3 and 4 year olds, let themselves be carried away by the sounds they heard. I was able to see how for 15 to 20 minutes they remained attentive, some showed expressions of deep relaxation and in others I was able to see how they radiated a great peace in their little faces. I must confess that I was very surprised since some of them are quite restless and impulsive. At the end of the session the children remained in a circle sitting on the floor, some of them hugged and/or held hands.  It was really surprising and interesting what happened that day in the preschool group.
